Editorial Standards

How we approach accuracy, sourcing, independence, and accountability.

Accuracy

We strive to ensure every fact published in LWIM is accurate and verifiable. Stories are based on reporting from named, credible sources. We do not publish rumour or speculation without clear disclosure.

When a story relies on a single source, we say so. Where multiple sources contradict each other, we present the conflict rather than picking a side.

Source attribution

Every story in LWIM is accompanied by attribution to the original reporting outlets. We summarise and synthesise — we do not republish full articles. Readers are encouraged to follow source links for the complete original coverage.

Anonymous sources are used only when a source faces genuine risk of harm from identification and when the information is of clear public interest. Anonymous tips are independently verified before publication.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted on the relevant story with a date and a description of what was changed. We do not silently edit published material.

Independence

LWIM is editorially independent. Advertisers and sponsors have no influence over which stories we select, how we frame them, or what we omit. Commercial relationships are disclosed where relevant.

Sponsored content (advertorials) is always clearly labelled as such and is produced in a separate editorial process from our weekly digest.

Conflicts of interest

Team members with a personal or financial relationship to a story recuse themselves from covering it. We do not accept gifts, travel, or hospitality from organisations we cover.

Whistleblower protection

We take source protection seriously. Sources who provide information in the public interest and who face genuine risk are protected. We do not disclose identifying information about confidential sources to third parties, including governments, employers, or advertisers.

Whistleblower stories are reviewed for legal risk before publication. We consult legal counsel when stories carry significant legal exposure.
